Sáenz de Santamaría ha lamentado el "escaso" índice de cumplimiento en la reducción del sector público que no depende del Estado y que tan sólo ha disminuido el 13% en un año, por lo que ha pedido a los gobierno autonómicos "mayor grado de compromiso".
Asimismo, ha explicado que en la última reunión de secretarios de Estado y de subsecretarios se establecieron los parámetros que deben completar para definir la situación empresarial, de personal, presupuestaria y financiera de los organismos estatales con el objetivo de decidir su futuro.
"A finales de este mes se prevé tener la primera información de los ministerios", ha dicho tras recalcar que la SEPI es una de las principales sociedades afectadas por el reestructuración del sector público del Estado. Ha recordado que según los datos de la Intervención General del Estado existen más de 4.000 entidades y aunque hay comunidades que han hecho un esfuerzo importante debe haber mayor responsabilidad.
A finales de este mes se prevé tener la primera información de los ministerios Sáenz de Santamaría ha dicho que una vez que el Ejecutivo tenga el informe de los ministerios y de las administraciones autonómicas y locales elevará un informe al Consejo de Ministros.

Diputado por Guadalajara, tiene una amplia experiencia parlamentaria y ha sido portavoz del PP en varias comisiones de contenido económico. Aguirre nació en Madrid en 1953, fue presidente de la Comisión del Pacto de Toledo y ponente de la reforma de la Ley Electoral y de las leyes de Presupuestos y de Comercio.
